11/11/11 Day of the Day: Happy 11/11/11! Here’s some stuff that’s going on today:
— It’s both Metal Day and Nigel Tufnel Day (since it goes to eleven).
— Also, It’s the Eleventh Doctor Day, so wear your coolest bow tie and fez.
— And, it’s the last Binary Day of your lifetime.
— Pocky Day? Sure, why not. Pepero Day? Even better.
— Corduroy Appreciation Day? Now you’re just being weird.
— It’s a great day to get married and/or have a baby, but if you’re not already doing either of those things it’s a bit too late to start.
— Also, don’t bother showing up at the Great Pyramid of Giza. The numerologist ceremony has been canceled (guess Jewish Masons will have to reclaim the Pyramids next on 12/12/12 instead).
— Relatedly, we are now exactly 1 year 1 month and 11 days from the end of the Aztec Calendar. Coincidence? Yup.
— Oh, and if you’re playing 1-1-1-1 in today’s Lottery drawing you’re gonna need more than luck to win.
— Flickr is collecting as many 111111 photos as you care to share.
